In a March 25 editon of the Daily Democrat, the photo caption on a photo in the story titled “50-year dream realized at Iftar dinner” had a caption stating, “Iman Malik Ahmed Qadri, speaking at the annual Iftar Dinner in the new Woodland mosque, said Islam teaches that peace is not the abscence of conflict by the kindness and respect shown to others.”

The caption should have read “Iman Malik Ahmad Qadri, speaking at the annual Iftar dinner in the new Woodland Mosque, said Islam teaches that peace is not the absence of conflict, but is the presence of justice, kindness and respect for all.” The Daily Democrat apologizes for this error.
