It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Laverne Braxton, 77, who peacefully passed away on February 5, 2025 after a prolonged hospital stay atKaiser in Richmond, CA.

She is survived by: her son, Sean Braxton Reid; grandsons, Shalom Reid, Chiam Reid, and Hazaifa Reid, nieces Dr Sonasha Braxton, Karyn Braxton and Dr Aneka Braxton, and nephew Asa Braxton.

It was Laverne’s preference there be no memorial service, but to instead to gather together or personally celebrate in honor of her or make a favorite charity donation in her honor.
