The Center, 12700 Southwest Highway: Anniversary Dinner and Renewal of Vows at 4:30 p.m. April 30. Participants do not need to have been married at Wayside Chapel. Celebrate a March or April wedding anniversary. St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 18850 Riegel Road: Caring Crafters, previously the Crocheting/Knitting Group, meets from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays to send God’s love to others through handcrafted items. Crafters have expanded beyond crocheting and knitting to include painting and any type of craft. Projects also can be worked on at home.

The group has created baby hats and chemo hats to give to hospitals, sweaters for children, prayer shawls and items for the church’s Christmas Cookie Walk and Bazaar and made cosmetic bags that United Women of Faith members fill to give to a shelter for abused women. St. Damian, 5300 W. 155th St.: Mental Health Awareness Support Group at 7 p.m. April 20 in the St. Damian Pastoral Center. Families and individuals living with people who have mental health disorders and challenges can feel isolated and alone. Gather with a community of faith offering hope and help, emotional and spiritual support, in a safe place. The group meets on the third Thursday of the month. Our Lady of the Woods, 10731 W. 131st St.: Spring painting party at 6:30 p.m. April 26. Participants will be guided on a painting project. Refreshments will be provided. Cost is $25. Portion of the proceeds will go to Catholic Relief Services for Ukraine relief efforts and the Courage Program run by St. Germaine Catholic Church.
