San Rafael resident Ellie McCuskey-Hay was a part of four victories for the St. Ignatius girls track team at the West Catholic Athletic League championships in Mountain View on Friday.

McCuskey-Hay set two meet records and one school record while winning the 100 meters, the 200, and the long jump individually, plus anchoring the 4×100 relay team in another victory.

The 4×100 relay team finished in a time of 47.17 seconds to set both a meet and school record. McCuskey-Hay won the 100 in 11.75 then put up a meet record of 18 feet, 10.5 inches in the long jump.

McCuskey-Hay capped her night with a time of 24.61 in the 200.

McCuskey-Hay is set to compete in the Central Coast Section trials next Saturday at Gilroy High.

Boys tennis

Redwood’s Julian Zhang and Calado Fazal picked up two more victories on Saturday to win the North Coast Section Division I doubles title.

Zhang and Fazal defeated California’s Justin Ge and Elbert Said 6-3, 7-6 in the semifinals then bested Amador Valley’s Fan Jia and Rohan Patil 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 in the title game.

Redwood’s Casra Afsharipour won his first match Saturday to advance to the D-I singles final, ultimately falling 6-2, 6-4 to San Ramon Valley’s Rishi Palle.

Marin Academy’s team of Rex Rutchik and William Young also advanced to the D-II doubles final, settling up for runner-up honors after a 1-6, 6-1, 6-2 loss to Sze Ting Chen and Nick Owens of Acalanes.

San Domenico’s Toby Sadzeck bowed out in the D-II semifinals.

• Redwood was awarded the No. 2 seed when the NCS Division I brackets were released on Saturday. All matches are set for 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Giants, the only Marin team in the bracket, open at home against No. 15 Maria Carrillo. Branson was selected as the No. 5 seed in D-II and hosts College Prep at College of Marin. No. 7 Marin Catholic hits the road to face No. 10 Arcata at McKinleyville High. No. 8 Marin Academy is hosting No. 9 Piedmont at Dominican University.

Prep baseball

San Rafael advanced to the MCAL playoffs after Archie Williams was deemed to have had a pitcher go above his pitch limit for the week during the play-in game on Saturday.

The Peregrine Falcons (12-12) were leading 8-1 in the middle of the seventh when they had to forfeit. As a result, the Bulldogs (13-12) are headed to Larkspur on Monday for a first-round matchup against No. 3 Redwood.

• San Domenico secured a spot in next week’s BCL West playoffs following a 10-0 victory against Lick-Wilmerding on Friday night. Oliver Swain pitched a two-hit shutout while striking out 10 for the Panthers (8-11, 4-6). Oliver Bennett had three hits for San Domenico while Alex Brook had two RBIs. Brook and Swain had two hits each for the No. 3-seeded Panthers. San Domenico is set to face No. 2 Stuart Hall at West Sunset #1 in San Francisco on Wednesday.

Prep softball

Charlotte Savitz and Delaney Whaley had three RBIs each as San Domenico lost 22-16 against Valley Christian on Friday night. The No. 2-seeed Panthers (8-7, 8-2 BCL West) are set to face No. 3 Valley Christian (6-6, 6-4) again in the BCL West semifinals at Margaret Hayward #2 in San Francisco on Wednesday.
