Night Out shines light on crime prevention
For agencies such as the San Gabriel Police Department, nationwide event is a chance to engage communities they serve

SAN GABRIEL >> At public spaces throughout the U.S., local police and their cities hosted National Night Out events on Tuesday.
They were basically block parties where law enforcement connected with the communities they serve. Don’t worry, they got permits for these.
San Gabriel’s police department was no different, hitting the heart of town in the town’s Historic Mission District on South Mission Drive.
There were meet and greets, K-9 demonstrations and other activities in an effort to promote crime prevention awareness.
