Gather with local chefs, maritime enthusiasts and environmental advocates from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the 12th annual Sausalito Community Boating Center’s (SCBC) Herring Festival. This year’s dinner fundraiser takes place at the Sausalito Center for the Arts at 750 Bridgeway in Sausalito.
Savor small plates of ocean-sourced, sustainably minded cuisine from The Caviar Co., Copita Tequileria y Comida, Bar Bocce, Barrel House Tavern, Le Garage, Ditas, Angelino Restaurant and Liquid Events. Bites will be paired with cocktails featuring Sausalito Liquor Co. spirits, a selection of wines and brews from Fort Point Beer Co.
In addition to live music hits from the 1920s through the ’50s by Sausalito vintage jazz band The Hot Clams, entertainment includes a silent disco and interactive art stations.
Proceeds from the event and direct donations advance SCBC’s nonprofit mission to expand affordable access to the waterfront, preserve maritime heritage and promote environmental stewardship. Funds help maintain the newly opened public docks near Dunphy Park and support low-cost boating programs and education for youth and adults.
Learn more about SCBC, view silent auction items and experiences (bidding closes at noon Sunday) and find ticket links ($65) at sausalitoboatingcommunity.org.
