Richard D, "Dick" Livingston, 91, of Midland, Michigan, formally of Louisville, Colorado, passed away on April 5, 2025, at MyMichigan Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Beloit, Wisconsin, on April 16, 1933, to Alvin and Alice Livingston. Dick began his career as a mechanical engineer In Rockford Illinois. He met Linda Eisenlohr in 1956. While serving in the U.S. Navy in Jacksonville Florida they were married.

After his honorable discharge, Dick and Linda returned to Rockford, Illinois and joined Barber- Colman Company then Amerock Corp. He earned several patents over his career.

Dick and Linda raised 3 children- Susan, Anne, and Dean. A gifted woodworker, Dick loved working with his hands and creating lasting pieces. In 1982 Dick accepted a position with Arthur D. Little in Washington, D.C., before he and Linda settled in Louisville, Colorado, where they spent 30 years before relocating to Midland.

Together, Dick and Linda traveled extensively and coauthored *Smar t and Caring* a guide in philanthropy. Dick's legacy is one of generosity, curiosity, and care for others.

Dick is survived by his daughter Anne (John) Beer y of Midland, MI; son Dean (Sheila) Livingston of Cumming, GA; and son-in-law Richard (Julie) Tocher- Valier of Crested Butte, CO. He was a proud grandfather to Sara (Steve) Beery- MacCleary, John William (Catherine) Beery, Courtland (Kylee) Tocher- Furlit, Stephanie Livingston, Melissa (Dakota) Mullinax, Brittney (Andrew) Fincher. He was a great-grandfather to Aver y Livingston Archie Fincher. He is survived by his nephews Bradley Shaffer and Frank Shaffer. He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Linda; his daughter Susan; parents Alvin and Alice Livingston; sister Judith Shaffer; niece Alice Schaffer; and in-laws Jane and Bud Jackson.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no memorial service will be held at this time.
