League of Women Voters thank Gerardo Pinedo
The League of Women Voters of Woodland wishes to thank Yolo County Administrator Gerardo Pinedo and the many guests who attended our recent State of the Community luncheon, held in person for the first time since 2019.
Mr. Pinedo gave an excellent overview of issues and challenges he has identified and is working to address that are facing Yolo County. We greatly appreciated Mr. Pinedo’s sharing of his background, interests, and plans since he serves Yolo County as the county official who directs and supervises the administration of all appointed department heads. In his role, he collaborates with countywide elected officials to ensure that all county residents receive high-quality, cost-effective and efficient services across all municipal health and safety programs.
We are also grateful for the interest in our work and Mr. Pinedo’s office shown by the many elected and appointed officials and staff from Yolo County and Woodland who attended.
Attendees included members of the Woodland City Council and Yolo County Board of Supervisors as well as representatives from fire and school districts, the Office of Education and the Assessors/Clerk Recorder/Elections Office.
We thank them and our many other guests, including from the Davis League of Women Voters and the Yolo County Grand Jury for their interest and support.
The League continues to encourage citizen participation in key community issues through its many activities, such as this annual event and upcoming high school voter services work and a county-wide study of adult mental health.
