Arbor Day gets special attention at Gibbel Park

Hemet on Wednesday held an event at Gibbel Park to celebrate Arbor Day.

Members of the community gathered at the 12-acre park, at 2350 W. Latham Ave., on Wednesday to make the “community greener and more beautiful,” a city Facebook post about the event says.

The event was sponsored by nonprofits, including the Women’s Club and the Rotary Club, and is intended to “enhance our green spaces,” the city says on Facebook.
