Scotts Valley High’s Lauren Ohlsson earned medalist honors, and the Falcons’ girls golf team beat Soquel 138-161 to finish 10-0 in Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League action on Tuesday.

The Falcons won their sixth straight league title despite seeing junior Ashley Gettleman, a two-time SCCAL individual champion, transfer to powerful Stevenson School in Pebble Beach.

Ohlsson shot 30 over the first six holes with a birdie on hole No. 1 at DeLaveaga Golf Course.

Maisey Chard (32), Lizzie Goldfield (34), and Becca Ervine (42) also scored for the Falcons. Chard earned par on No. 1 and Goldfield shot par on No. 2.

Cassidy Perry (38), Joey Burgos (38), Chelsea Myers (41), and Hailey Helgueros (44) scored for the Knights. Helgueros earned par on No. 5.

The 18-hole SCCAL Championship takes place at DeLaveaga G.C. on Tuesday at 11 a.m.

Aptos 153, at San Lorenzo Valley 164 >> Match medalist Emily Fassio shot 11-over-par 32 over six holes, and the Mariners won their SCCAL finale at Boulder Creek Golf and Country Club on Tuesday.

Lemi Anastasopoulos (35), Adeline Burgess (39) and Lilly McGee (47) also scored for the Mariners (6-2).

Reagan Atkinson (34), Sadie Bell (39), Ella Cook (44) scored for SLV. The Cougars also counted a 47, which was shot by both Sammy Shults and Lexi Munoz.

PCAL Championships >> Watsonville shot 616 and took first place at the Pacific Coast Athletic League Mission Division Championships at Laguna Seca Golf Ranch on Tuesday.

The Wildcatz’s Allyson Sandoval-West was named to all-Mission first team.

The Wildcatz were followed in the tournament standings by Alvarez 635), King City (653), North Monterey County (664), Gonzales (669), Alisal (688), and Monterey (702).

Monte Vista Christian shot 383 and took sixth place at the PCAL Gabilan Division Championships.

Stevenson (383) won the team title and was followed in the tournament standings by Carmel (458), Salinas (463), Catalina (472), and Hollister (526).

Girls volleyball

Harbor 3, Santa Cruz 1 >> Senior outside hitter Isla Johnson had 18 kills and five digs in the Pirates’ 25-17, 25-19, 17-25, 25-16 win in SCCAL action Tuesday.

Four other seniors helped the Pirates’ cause as they celebrated senior night. Outside hitter Maren O’Farrell made 11 kills and middle blocker Sabine Kemos had eight kills and four blocks. Middle blocker Jocelyn Ruelas had two kills and one block, and outside hitter Tea Stockwell had a kill.

Harbor (18-9, 11-0) hosts Mount Madonna in its regular season on Thursday.

At Soquel 3, Mount Madonna 0 >> Gianna Audisio and Jillian Winterburn each served seven aces in the Knights’ 25-3, 25-8, 25-18 sweep in SCCAL action Tuesday. Audisio also had two kills, six assists, and 12 digs.

Liv Barton had eight kills, two aces, four assists, and six digs for the Knights. Teammate Katy Eze had six kills. Mia Riddle had 11 assists and two aces.

At Aptos 3, Scotts Valley 2 >> The Mariners celebrated senior night with a 25-23, 16-25, 25-17, 24-26, 15-9 win in SCCAL play Tuesday.

Sophomore outside hitter Ella Dueck had 19 kills, four aces, 20 digs, and three blocks for the Mariners.

Junior right side Kenzie Smith had 12 kills on 21 attempts and hitting .570 with two blocks for Aptos. Senior middle blocker Claire Willoughby had 14 kills and hit .430 with three service aces, and senior libero Chloe Luis had two aces, four assists, and 28 digs.

Girls water polo

At Soquel 20, SLV 2 >> Senior Mireya Gomez had seven goals and an assist in the Knights’ SCCAL win Tuesday.

Senior Kelly Niven had three goals, four assists, and one steal. Maddison Barwick had three goals and an assist. Grace Graessle scored twice, and Natasha Ackerstein had one goal, two assists, and two steals. Makena Hansen, Natalie Salerno, Gianna Pizzica, and Libby Forrest also scored.

Soquel (14-5, 7-0) plays at Aptos (13-8, 6-2) on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Santa Cruz 14, at Harbor 3 >> Junior Violet Rubin had three goals, four assists, and four steals in the Cardinals’ SCCAL win Tuesday.

Senior Giulia D’Souza also scored three goals, and had an assist, and three steals.

Daphne Olson, Malia Cooper, and Cala Bretholtz scored twice for the Cardinas, and Kat Fanni and Tessa Jefferies also scored. Jefferies, a sophomore, also had three assists and three steals.

Junior Kate Brandon scored twice for the Pirates, and sophomore teammate Malalai Martin Etemadi added a goal.

Cardinals goalie Sage Steller-Croll made nine saves, and Pirates goalie Kallista Whitmore made eight saves.

On Thursday, Santa Cruz (9-5, 5-3) hosts Los Altos (14-6) in nonleague action at 6 p.m., and Harbor (7-14, 1-7) plays at SLV at 6:30 p.m.

At Aptos 14, Harbor 6 >> Adelaide Friedley had five goals and two assists to lead the Mariners in their SCCAL win Monday. Senior teammate Adriana Santillano had four goals, five assists, and four steals.

Boys water polo

Santa Cruz 19, at Harbor 2 >> Pa’ kalani Vaka-Saxton scored seven goals in the Cardinals’ SCCAL win Tuesday.

Matthias Cruz had three goals, three assists, and one steal, and Xavier Hunter had three goals and an assist. Nikolaus Kay had two goals, four assists, and three steals. Tate Wilson also scored twice, and Grant Atkinson and Gio Marini also scored.

Sophomore goalie Laird Bowser made 11 saves for the Cardinals (18-4, 7-0).

At Soquel 22, SLV 1 >> Senior Jacob Henshaw had five goals, four assists, and three steals in the Knights’ SCCAL win Tuesday.

Senior Cash Wolf had four goals and four assists. and Noah Mitnick scored twice. Kai Queenan had a goal, four assists, and three steals. Noah Piona, Sam Robertson, Jake Martinez, Nico Palandrani, Cane Mitchell, Tomasso Abas, Tanner Connors, Josh Novick, and Stryder Stelck also scored for the Knights.

Jacob Henshaw and Stelck each played 14 minutes in goal and combined for 15 saves.

Soquel (15-7, 5-2) plays at Aptos (9-12, 3-4) on Thursday at 7 p.m.

At Aptos 16, Harbor 8 >> Kevin Johnston scored seven goals in the Mariners’ SCCAL win Monday.

Seniors Gavin Abundis and Silas Reynolds each scored twice for Aptos. Senior goalie Massimo Lopez made 18 saves.

Girls tennis

Aptos 5, Santa Cruz 2 >> Senior Gamble Kellermyer trailed 4-1 in the first set and rallied for a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles to clinch the Mariners’ SCCAL win Tuesday.

Kiana Safari, Aviana Andrews, and Coral Collins also earned singles wins in straight sets for the Mariners. Areacely Ritchie and Gia Arista won at No. 2 doubles.

In other doubles action, the Cardinals’ Rainey Ruf and Julia Kenndey won 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (10-7) over Isabella and Natalia Calderon, and Camille Lambert and Zosia Hayes won 2-6, 7-6, 1-0 (10-7) over Neci Hoeptner and Julia Blevins.

Aptos (10-3, 9-0) hosts Soquel on Thursday at 4 p.m.

At Scotts Valley 5, Soquel 2 >> The Falcons won three singles matches and two doubles matches in their SCCAL home finale Tuesday.

The Falcons earned singles wins from seniors Sofia Niklaus, Erin Szymanski, and Ava Keller. In a marathon match that lasted over two hours, Soquel’s Sophie Arnold defeated senior Isabella Padilla 7-5, 6-4 at No. 4 singles.

In doubles action, Soquel’s Ayla Hymes and Lucy Federspiel beat Maya Wexler and Riya Kuriakose 6-0, 7-6 (7-5) at No. 1.

Scotts Valley’s Skylar Dufour and Montserrat Burgos-Saavedra won at No. 2 double, and Dillon Fiorita and Georgia Chetcuti won at No. 3.

Scotts Valley (8-3, 7-2) closes out the league season at Harbor on Thursday at 4 p.m.

Men’s soccer

Hartnell 2, at Cabrillo 0 >> Alan Cardenas-Rosas had a goal and an assist in the Panthers win over the Seahawks on Tuesday in Coast Conference North Division play.

Both goals came in the second half. Ignacio Aguado also scored for Hartnell (11-2-1, 5-1-1).

Both teams’ goalies finished with four saves.

Cabrillo’s Alex Castro-Neri received a double-yellow red card in the 88th minute.

The Seahawks (5-5-3, 3-3-1) host Skyline (10-3-1, 5-1-1) on Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Women’s soccer

San Francisco 4, at Cabrillo 0 >> Goalie Alessandra Zuniga made six saves for the Seahawks in their Coast Conference North Division loss Tuesday.

Paige Pineda-Aliamus scored twice for the Rams. Daniela Del Carlo and Rhiana Gardon also scored.

Bailey Perales made two saves for the Rams (10-1-2, 4-0-1).

Cabrillo (3-10-1, 1-3-0) hosts Gavilan in a conference crossover match on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Girls flag football

At Watsonville 26, Hollister 20 >> The Haybalers scored first, but the Wildcatz responded with 20 unanswered points in their PCAL Gabilan Division win Monday.

Isa Alvarez sealed the win with her interception return for a touchdown. She also had a rushing touchdown.

Wildcatz quarterback Fernanda Lazo threw touchdown passes to Brianna Leon and Stephanie Martinez.
