Woodland Community College’s Performing Arts Center will come alive with a night of high-energy music on Tuesday, March 11, as three school music programs come together for a special collaboration concert.

Under the baton of Professor Bobby Rogers, this event will showcase the talents of the Pioneer High School Wind Ensemble, the Woodland Christian School Concert Band and the Woodland Community College Symphonic Band.

According to a press release, this musical evening will feature a dynamic repertoire of music celebrating themes of valor, folk dance, and Broadway classics. The concert will culminate in a grand finale with a medley of selections from the beloved Broadway musical Wicked, performed by all three groups together.

A total of 98 musicians will take the stage, demonstrating the power of community collaboration through the universal language of music.

This concert provides students from different schools the opportunity to connect, learn from each other, and create an unforgettable performance. Professor Rogers emphasizes the importance of bringing talented young musicians together for a night of extraordinary music.

The concert will take place at the Woodland college’s arts center located at 2300 East Gibson Road.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the concert beginning promptly at 7 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public, making this an excellent opportunity for families, students and community members to enjoy an inspiring night of live music.
