Sunnyvale

Loraine (Lory) Joy Zimmermann Frohbach died on May 2, 2024 at her home of 64 years. She and her husband Hugh moved to the Bay Area so Hugh could begin his career at Stanford Research Institute in 1959. Hugh died in 2020, also at his beloved Sunnyvale home.

Lory was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on July 30, 1928. She and Hugh married when she was 19years old and they stayed together until Hugh's death. Together they raised two daughters.

Lory loved to learn about medicine, and after waiting until her children were grown, studied at De Anza College and Foothill college to become a medical assistant.

Lory loved to sing and play the piano, play Bridge with her long lived Bridge club, and was an active member of the Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship of Sunnyvale for decades.

Lory and Hugh are survived by their two daughters, Elly Dotseth of San Diego, and Kathy Campbell of Carlsbad (also in San Diego County), four grand children and three great grand children.
