ID to vote

I’m not understanding another caller’s comment about people having to show an ID to vote. Every single adult that I know, age 18 and older, has an ID, every single one. Maybe this reader knows people that don’t have them? I don’t know.

Bad Rockies

The Rockies’ losing ways and highly questionable habit of trading away their best players reminds me of the movie “Major League.” In that film, the owner of the Cleveland team does everything in her power to make the team as bad as they can possibly be, with the intent of moving the team to a different city. Is this what is happening with the Rockies?

Carl Brady

It is with great sadness (that) I saw the obituary of Carl Brady. I always looked forward to reading this intelligent man’s opinion pieces. He was a voice of reason among many who are unreasonable. My condolences go out to … his family. Thankful for his lengthy service to our country.

Not At Home

Please do not include the At Home section inside the Friday section of your paper, as it could be lost. You have changed the day of the At Home section, and now you are stuffing it inside the Friday section, which is a disservice to its advertisers and those looking for real estate information.

Rec center

To the person who complained about the rec center being closed in the TC Line today, Friday, it actually is open. A portion of the parking lot is closed, but the rec center itself is open. You just have to park a little bit further away.

Aerogel toxic?

In last Thursday’s aerogel article, nowhere was it mentioned how toxic this material is to produce, if it’s toxic, or how to discard it when it’s done serving its purpose. I mean, I hope it’s not like plastics back in the day that (were) the most amazing invention ever, and now we are being overtaken by plastics that are also harming ourselves. When something is invented in this day and age, we also need to immediately address the environmental aspects of it.

Dog beach

• This is a Union Reservoir dog beach lover. For every one that doesn’t love it, there’s 20 who do. I’ve been going there for years and haven’t noticed any increase in poop whatsoever and wanted to just disclose that.

• A huge thanks to Chris and Paul, who went out to Union Reservoir and spent a couple of days cleaning up the dog poop. I’m sure they’re going to be able to keep the dog beach open now, and I know everyone will pitch in, in the future. Thanks, guys.
