Feltner is making steady progress by eliminating the runaway innings that haunted him earlier in the season. Since June 8, the right-hander has pitched at least five innings in six consecutive starts, posting a 3.60 ERA. Feltner has made two career starts against the Mets, both at Citi Field. He’s gone 0-1 with a 7.88 ERA.
In his last start, Scott allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings vs. the Pirates but didn’t record a decision. He allowed one hit, issued one walk and struck out three. Scott made his major league debut May 4 at Tampa Bay, pitching 6 2/3 innings and allowing just one run on five hits in the Mets’ 3-1 loss. Scott was the first Mets pitcher to toss at least six innings in their big-league debut since Steven Matz on June 28, 2015, vs. Cincinnati.
