Age 80, of Eagan, MN

Passed away Monday, September 16, 2024, at Lexington Pointe Senior Living in Eagan, MN. Cremation has taken place, at her request, and a graveside memorial service will occur at a later date at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Noonan, ND.

Janelle was born to Elda I. (Long) and Francis Wilmer Campbell September 14, 1944, in Noonan, ND. The family lived in Minot, ND for some time and eventually moved to St. Paul, MN, where Janelle graduated from Mechanic Arts H.S. in 1963. In 1969, Janelle became a flight attendant with Northwest Airlines, based out of Minneapolis. She loved this job and the opportunities it provided. She made many trips to Japan, Europe, and all over the U.S. for 12 years.

Janelle married Kent Eggleston in 1976, and together they raised two sons, but eventually divorced. Janelle then moved to Crosby, ND, to be closer to her mother and sister. Here, she met Dervin Wallin, whom she eventually married. They spent their winters in Yuma, AZ, and summers in Crosby. "Dervin James" was an entertainer, and Janelle loved visiting with everyone at the markets where Dervin would play guitar and sing.

Janelle is survived by her sons Shawn Eggleston and Ryan (Julie) Eggleston; granddaughter Audrey Eggleston, stepdaughter Julie Eggleston, step-son Steven (Stacey) Eggleston, step-son Shane Wallin (Toni); several step-grandchildren; brother Veral (Barbara) Campbell; sister Rhonda Campbell; niece Gia (Derek) Sutermeister; great nieces Nika, Anneliese and Gabrielle; great nephew Elijah; and sisters-in-law Diane Osvold, Donita Johns, Donna Wallin, brother-in-law Daryl Wallin and their families. Janelle was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents Elmer and Irene Long and Virgue and Archibald Campbell, and uncles.
