Judith Ann (Judy) Hungerford, a wonderful sister, cousin and friend, passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 78. She is survived by her brothers Russell, Gary (Cheryl), and her sister Carol Overton (Mark). Auntie Judy is lovingly remembered by her nephew Rob Overton (Jennie), and nieces Kristan Caballero (Chris) , and Rachel Hungerford, as well as her five great nephews and nieces. Judy is also missed by her many Mockel and Hungerford cousins, who she always kept up with during regular phone calls. She is especially missed by her cousin Kathi Townsend.

Judy was born and raised in Oakland and attended Holy Names High School. She worked her entire career at Pacific Bell, later AT&T, in both San Francisco and San Ramon.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Basilica, 1109 Chestnut Street, Alameda. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.
