Arcata City Council

When: First and third Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m.

Where: City Hall Council Chamber: 736 F St, Arcata. The meeting can be viewed on the city’s website, the city’s YouTube page or via Access Humboldt channels.

• The council will receive a report from the historic landmarks commission.

• The council will consider approving an application for grant funding for Arcata Ball Park and Carlson Park improvements.

• The council discuss an ordinance adding a chapter to the residential inspection program.

• The council will consider giving themselves a raise.

Arcata Fire District Board of Directors

When: Second Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m.

• The board will consider approving the disposal of surplus equipment.

• The board will consider approving the fiscal year 2021-22 financial audit report. The board will also consider accepting the mid-year review of the fiscal year 2022-23.

• The board will discuss a letter to state Sen. Mike McGuire from a Eureka resident about Cal Poly Humboldt’s building plans.

Arcata Planning Commission

When: Second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 6 p.m.

• The commission will discuss an update to the General Plan with an emphasis on land use.

Eureka Economic Development Commission

Eureka Planning Commission

When: Second Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m.

Where: Eureka City Council chambers, 531 K Street, Eureka.

• The commission will hold a public hearing on petroleum storage.

• The commission will discuss amending its bylaws.

• The commission will discuss a capital improvement project on Hilfiker Lane.

• The commission will hear a report on coastal land use.

Ferndale City Council

When: Third Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m.

Where: Ferndale City Hall, 834 Main St, Ferndale

• The council will hold a second reading of an ordinance on building codes and regulations.

• The council will consider approving a contract with the city attorney.

• The council will hear a COVID-19 update and consider extending the local emergency declaration.

Fortuna Planning Commission

When: Second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m.

Where: City Hall, 621 11th St., Fortuna

• The Feb. 14 meeting is canceled.

Humboldt County Association of Governments

When: Third Thursday of each month at 4 p.m.

Where: 611 I St., Eureka. The meeting can be viewed through Access Humboldt channels.

• The board will convene as the policy advisory committee to hear presentations on the safety corridor and the HCAOG 2022 year-end report.

• The board will reconvene as HCAOG and consider the election of officers.

• The board will meet in closed session for a performance review of the executive director.

Humboldt County Board of Supervisors

When: Every Tuesday except for the fifth Tuesday of a month at 9 a.m.

• The Feb. 14 board meeting is canceled.

Humboldt County Planning Commission

When: First Thursday of the month at 6 p.m.

Where: Board of Supervisors chambers, 825 5th St., Eureka. The meeting can be viewed on the county website or via Access Humboldt channels.

• The commission will consider the final map of the Santos subdivision in McKinleyville.

• The commission will hold a public hearing for a 22,000-square-foot cannabis operation in the Whitethorn area.

• The commission will hold a public hearing on a Karuk housing plan.

• The commission will hold a public hearing for a storage facility in McKinleyville.

• The commission will hear a report on new rules for the planning commission.
