Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County seeks a volunteer to work at its Santa Rosa ReStore retail shop who can fix lamps, light fixtures and ceiling fans.

The person must have electrical experience and knowledge of the hazards of electrical equipment. Duties include testing lamps, lighting and ceiling fans for functionality, repairing fixtures if worthwhile, cleaning and pricing items and assisting with hanging fixtures for display on the retail floor.

Lemon Aide Project

Staff a respite center

Novato-based Lemon Aide Project is partnering with the Petaluma Fair to operate a respite center to support fairgoers during the June 18-21 event at the Petaluma Fairgrounds. Volunteers are needed for the duration of the fair and receive community service hours and complimentary fair admission following their shift. Donations of bottled water, electrolyte drinks and cooling supplies are now being accepted for the center.
