St. Vincent de Paul’s backpack drive

The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Marin has raised more than $3,000 in in-kind gifts so far with its backpack drive, which kicked off April 19 at the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art in San Rafael in conjunction with a reception for the museum’s new exhibit, “Future Flows.”

Both the drive and the exhibit run through July 6; donations of adult-sized backpacks will be accepted through then at the San Rafael museum.

The opening event was attended by more than 75 people, including Brian and Suzanne Swift, of Belvedere; Kathleen Woodcock, of Greenbrae; Suzanne Brooks, of Mill Valley; San Rafael Mayor Kate Colin, Vicki Masseria and Shannon Meadows, all of San Rafael; and Daniel Daniloff, of Sausalito.
