A school bus driver fatally struck a 20-year-old man riding an electric bike in St. Francis on Friday morning, authorities said.

The collision happened just before 7:30 a.m. when a woman who was driving the bus, which had no passengers, was turning south onto St. Francis Boulevard from eastbound Ambassador Boulevard, the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office said.

The man, identified by the Minnesota State Patrol as Brady Gerald Ausland of Oak Grove, died at the scene.

The bus driver was identified as Shelina Marie Hansen, 42, of Cedar.

The crash remains under investigation.
