Discovery Bay

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosemary L. Daly, aged 89. Rosemary departed this world on August 3, 2023. She now rests in eternal peace, joining her beloved husband, Richard F. Daly, and their son, Rick Daly, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children: Steve, Kim, and Tom (Rachel) Daly. She was the adored grandmother of Steve, Ben, Darcy, Tommy, and Danielle.

A native of San Francisco, Rosemary was raised in the Richmond District and attended Star of the Sea, graduating in the class of 1950. She embarked on a journey of education, attending Santa Rosa Junior College and San Francisco State University, ultimately earning her degree, and beginning a fulfilling career as a teacher.

On April 19, 1958, Rosemary and Richard united in marriage. Together, they raised their four children in Daly City. After years of dedicating themselves to their family, they chose to spend their later years in Discovery Bay. It was their fervent wish to be celebrated together upon Rosemary's passing.

A Funeral mass for Richard and Rosemary will take place on August 30, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St.

Anne's Church, located at 2800 Camino Diablo, Byron, California. Immediately following will be a celebration of life to serve as a heartfelt remembrance for Richard and Rosemary, as they journey onward together.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St.

Anne’s Church, Discovery Bay Lions Club, or to a Charity of your choice in their name.
