Nipsey Hussle’s legacy continues to grow with the opening of a second Marathon Burger location in Venice in late May.
The restaurant that’s part of the late rapper’s Marathon brand, at 1827 Ocean Front Walk on the Venice Beach Boardwalk, had a grand opening Saturday. It’s the restaurant’s second location, following the flagship restaurant at Melrose Avenue and Gardner Street, just a few blocks from The Marathon, a boutique clothing store launched by the Crenshaw district native.
The menu features wagyu smashburgers, wings, fries and milkshakes. The Marathon Burger is made with two wagyu beef patties smashed with grilled onions and served on a toasted brioche bun with Fresno peppers, housemade pickles, American cheese, ketchup, mustard and sauce.
The Grammy-winning rapper and entrepreneur died after being shot outside his clothing store in South Los Angeles in 2019.
The new Marathon Burger will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with a delivery option until 3 a.m.
