Residents of San Jose

Rudy and Marcia Mesa, beloved partners, parents, and grandparents have passed away. Rudy, born on July 14, 1940, in San Jose to parents Mary and Rudy Mesa, passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 84. Marcia passed away on November 29th, 2024 at the age of 83. Marcia was born May 7th, 1941 in La Grande, Oregon to parents Audrey and Robert Smith. Both were surrounded by family and friends the day they passed. Both lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to their family and community. Rudy and Marcia graduated from Campbell High School, where they fell in love. They went on to build successful careers. Marcia worked at GE and Rudy worked at both GE and Lockheed.

Rudy found joy in golfing, bowling, and bocce ball. Marcia loved reading and traveling. Above all, they both cherished the time they spent with family. Rudy and Marcia shared an incredible 61 years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family that includes their children: Todd Mesa (Laurie), Michele Hermann (Rob), and Sara Seaward. Rudy is survived by his brother Gilbert Mesa (Barbara), and sister Margie McInelly (Bill), and Marcia by her sister Nele Bujuklian (Jon). Rudy and Marcia were also proud grandparents to six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Rudy and Marcia's kindness, warmth, and love for their family and friends will be remembered by all who knew them. Their legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be part of their life. Rudy Ray and Marcia Rae Mesa will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts. May they rest in peace together never to be apart again.

Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on February 28th at 12:30 at the Campbell Community Center in the Orchard City Banquet Center located at 1 W. Campbell Ave., Campbell, CA 95008. Flowers can be sent to Los Gatos Memorial Park at 2255 Los Gatos Almaden Rd., San Jose, CA 95124. In lieu of flowers Donations can be made in Rudy and Marcia’s honor to the Salvation Army or the American Red Cross.
