Johnson meets students from site of mass slaying

Dwayne Johnson helped put smiles on the faces of some students from Atlanta’s Apalachee High School, where this month a gunman killed four people and injured nine others.

On Saturday, Johnson posted a series of photos and videos to his Instagram showcasing his visit with students, identified by Johnson as members of the school’s football team.

“Sometimes one of the best paths to begin the healing journey is through our smiles, laughter and joy,” he wrote.

Earlier this month, 14-year-old student Colt Gray was charged with four counts of felony murder.

Johnson called the shooting, in which two students and two teachers were killed, an “unimaginable tragedy.”

“I didn’t know what to expect when I walked in to meet them — I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by their spirit and energy,” he wrote. “I looked these kids in their eyes and hugged ‘em — I know they’re in great pain, but man are they resilient and staying strong.”

Farrell seeking treatment after onstage meltdown

Perry Farrell is reportedly seeking medical treatment after his recent onstage meltdown led to the cancellation of Jane’s Addiction’s reunion tour.

The news came via a statement from his wife, Etty Lau Farrell, on Instagram.

“We are taking a bit of time to ourselves, to reflect and to heal,” she wrote. “Perry already has appointments with a otolaryngologist and a neurologist. ... He will recover. He will be happy again.”

Jackson denies taking back remark about Harris

Janet Jackson did repeat the false claim that Kamala Harris is not Black during a recent interview, but it appears she did not apologize for that, as some reports suggested Sunday.

Per Variety, after “an unusually worded apology for the singer’s ill-informed comments was made, reps for Jackson told the site that person is not her manager, as he claimed, and is not authorized to speak for her.”

This comes after the apology was reported by Buzzfeed and aggregated across the internet.

Per Variety, the statement was given by MO Elmasri, who “apparently inaccurately claimed to be the singer’s manager.”

That statement, in part, said that Jackson “recognizes that her statements regarding Vice President Kamala Harris’ racial identity were based on misinformation.”

Jackson was asked in a recent interview by The Guardian about Harris potentially become the first Black female president.

“Well, you know what they supposedly said? She’s not Black,” Jackson reportedly answered. “That’s what I heard. That she’s Indian.”
