From daytime parades to nighttime drone light displays, Napa Valley is putting on a show for America’s 250th birthday.
Here’s where to find Independence Day celebrations across the valley. All celebrations take place July 4 unless otherwise noted.
American Canyon
The city’s Independence Day celebration kicks off at 3 p.m. with a parade along Elliott Drive and continues with a community festival and fireworks display. The festival featuring food vendors, family activities and entertainment runs 4-8 p.m. with the fireworks show beginning at dusk at Independence Park, 20 Benton Way. Information: americancanyon.gov
Calistoga
A Fourth of July parade celebrating America’s semiquincentennial steps off at 11 a.m. along Lincoln Avenue with festive floats created by local organizations. The celebration continues 7-10 p.m. with a laser light show with synchronized music at Pioneer Park, 1308 Cedar St. Information: visitcalistoga.com
Napa
The Rotary Club of Napa Fourth of July Parade launches the city’s Independence Day celebrations at 9 a.m. between Second and Third streets. The celebration continues 3-10 p.m. at Oxbow Commons, 1268 McKinstry St, with live music, food vendors and children’s activities. A patriotic drone show is set to start at 9:30 p.m. Best viewing areas for the drone show are Oxbow Commons, First and Third Street Bridge sidewalks, Veterans Memorial Park, China Point, Riverfront Green and Promenade. St. Helena
The town will kick off Independence Day celebrations early, with a Third of July Celebration 5:30-8:30 p.m. July 3 at Crane Park, 360 Crane Ave. Fireworks will not be presented this year; instead, the festivities will feature family activities, live music and food vendors. Yountville
The town’s annual Fourth of July celebration featuring live music, lawn games and more is 4-7 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, 6465 Washington St. As part of the celebration, town officials will honor local veterans and recognize their service to the nation. Information: townofyountville.com
