• Independence Fest: 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m., June 28, at Clintonwood Park, 6000 Clarkston Road, Independence Twp., featuring youth activities, food concessions, arts and crafts vendors (11 a.m.-5 p.m.). Military museum is 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Classic Car Display is 11 a.m.-2 p.m., live entertainment is noon-3 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. Veterans celebration is 11 a.m.-3 p.m. with complimentary lunch for veterans of all ages and spouses, noon to 1:30 p.m., additional guests are $5 per person. • Clarkston Fourth of July Parade: 10 a.m. July 4, starting from St. Daniel Catholic Church, left onto Valley Park Drive, crossing over Holcomb Road to Miller Road until Main Street and then turn right on Main Street.
