Noteworthy: Brereton played a key role in the Apaches (17-2 overall) going 3-0 last week. Brereton was 6 for 8 with three doubles, seven RBIs and two runs scored during a two-game sweep of Glendale in Pacific League play and a 9-2 nonleague victory against West Torrance. Against West, Brereton was 3 for 4 with a double, RBI and run scored. He was 2 for 3 with five RBIs in a 24-1 win over Glendale.

Kaylahni Duenas

School: Los Altos

Sport: Softball

Year: Freshman

Noteworthy: Duenas tossed a one-hit shutout with three strikeouts and also had two hits and two RBIs to lead Los Altos to a 6-0 victory over South Hills. In her previous start, she threw a two-hit shutout with eight strikeouts in a 3-0 win over Tesoro. For the season, Duenas is batting .391 with six doubles, 17 RBIs and a home run.
