Antoine Francoeur of Emerald Hills and Anna Guzman of Los Gatos repeated as champions at the 42nd Santa Cruz Triathlon on Sunday. It is Francoeur’s second SCT title and Guzman’s sixth straight.

A total of 617 athletes competed in the race.

Francoeur completed the course in 1 hour, 55 minutes, and 51 seconds.

He finished the 1,500-meter swim in 18:20, 40K bike ride in 59:29, and 10K run in 34:02.

John Dahlz of Daly City, a three-time SCT champion, took second for the second straight year after he finished in 1:59:08.

Wiktor Rajca of Berkeley took third in 1:59:25. Dylan Sorensen, a native of Zionsville, Indiana, took fourth in 2:00:47, and Andrew Roos (2:00:55) of Redwood City rounded out the top five.

Guzman completed the course in 2:15:40. She finished the swim in 23:46, bike in 1:06:31, and run in 40:44.

Santa Cruz’s Sarah Kletzer finished in 2:23:32 for second place for a third straight year. Hana DeClerck of Mountain View took third in 2:23:51.

Emma Madgic (2:25:15) of Brooklyn took fourth, and Kristen Burrall (2:25:26) of Oakland rounded out the top five.

Disc golf

Faultline Classic >> Watsonville’s Emmanuel Torres shot a 15-under-par 153 total and took first place in the Mixed Open Pro title at the Faultline Classic at DeLaveaga Park Disc Golf Course on Sunday.

Atascadero’s Andrew Miranda also finished with a 153 total and took second. Torres closed with 75 and Miranda closed with 79. Santa Cruz’s Connor Whiting (156) took third.

Santa Cruz’s Jenny Umstead (194) took first in the Women’s Open Pro. Aptos’ Jenna Johnson (199) took second, and Lillianne Waite (213) of Boise, Idaho, took third.

Girls water polo

Saint Francis Autumn Invitational >> Soquel went 2-2 and took fourth place at the two-day Saint Francis Autumn Invitational in Mountain View.

The Knights beat Los Altos 13-3 and Saint Francis 12-6 on Friday, and lost to Arroyo Grande 12-6 and Leland 12-8 on Saturday.

Sophomore Elizabeth Penny had 14 goals, six assists, and five steals in four games for Soquel, and junior Natasha Ackerstein had nine goals, five assists, and six steals.

Knights freshman Keira Burke had seven goals, three assists, and 12 steals; junior Natalie Salerno had three goals, five assists, and two steals; and sophomore Isabella Bridi-Milligan had two goals, four assists, and seven steals.

Senior Kelly Niven, junior Libby Forrest, and freshmen Sequoia Drake and Grace Graessle each scored a goal.

Senior goalie Maddison Barwick made 30 saves and two steals.

The Knights (2-3) play at Harbor on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Amanda McDonald Tournament >> Santa Cruz went 2-2 and took fourth place at the two-day Amanda McDonald Tournament in Menlo Park, which ended Saturday.

The Cardinals beat St. Ignatius 9-4 and Carlmont 14-5 and lost 10-4 to Acalanes and 7-4 to Harker.

Junior center Violet Rubin scored 10 goals, drew eight ejections, and had eight steals in the tournament. Senior captain Giulia D’Souza had seven goals, 11 steals, and she drew four ejections. Senior attacker Daphne Olson had five goals, three assists, two steals, and two drawn ejections, and senior Malia Cooper scored four goals, made three assists, drew three ejections, and had four steals.

Senior Kat Fanni, Amalia Terazzas, and Oihana Ward, and freshmen Zoe Pochet and Isla Cooper also scored for the Cardinals.

Sophomore goalie Sage Steller-Croll totaled 21 saves and three assists.

The Cardinals play at San Lorenzo Valley to open Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League play on Tuesday.

Men’s water polo

Ohlone Tournament >> Cabrillo went 1-1 at the Ohlone Tournament in Fremont on Friday.

The Seahawks lost to San Joaquin Delta 22-8 and beat San Jose State University’s club team 19-18 in overtime.

Nolan Nguyen scored 12 total goals for Cabrillo. Joe Brennan scored eight goals, and Ayden Reed scored five goals, including the overtime winner. Josh Retzlaff also scored a goal. Goalie Ben Duarte made 14 saves.

Cabrillo (0-8) hosts Merced (1-12) on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
