A fire tore through a Brooklyn home early Thursday, sending one man to the hospital with critical injuries, officials said.

The blaze erupted in the second-floor apartment above a candy store on Fourth Ave. near 92nd St. in Bay Ridge just after 7 a.m., the FDNY said.

It took more than 60 firefighters about 45 minutes to put out the raging blaze, which destroyed the second-floor apartment.

One building resident, who was identified as a man, was rushed to Staten Island University Hospital with critical injuries. A firefighter also suffered minor injuries.

FDNY fire marshals were trying Thursday to determine what sparked the fire.
