Aki passed away comfortably, Thurs.Nov.14th at the age of 96 surrounded by family.

He spent his early years in Mountain View prior to internment camp at Heart Mountain, Wyoming. After camp he returned to Mountain View. He worked hard to become a master carpenter and bought a home for his mother and 4 sisters.

Through a mutual friend, he met the love of his life, Toki. They spent over 60 years together raising their family and travelling to Asia, Europe and throughout the U.S. with family and friends, until Toki’s unexpected passing last year (2023).

Aki is survived by children Larry(Donna),Karen(Scott), Lisa & Joni (Carl); grandchildren Ryan, Jason, Kyle, Kelli, Kaitlyn, Heather, Ashley, Nicole, Nikolas, Kevin and Jessica; great grandchildren Evan, Jordan and Brayden. Also survived by his sisters: Misao, Yoshi (Phil) and many nieces and nephews. Aki was preceded in death by his loving wife Toki and son Rick. He was loved and respected by everyone he met.
