Gloria Irene Green, 98, of Broomfield, Colorado, passed away on October 5, 2024.

Gloria was born in 1926 to Flora Zarini Hawkins and Henry R. Hawkins in Boulder, Colorado. She married Russell Lee Green on August 8, 1947 in Louisville, Colorado..

Together they raised four children, Roberta, Rick, Lori, and Scott.

A graduate of Louisville High School and Saint Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing, Gloria was part of the United States Cadet Nurse Corps program during WWII. Later, as a Registered Nurse, Gloria worked at St.

Joseph's hospital in Obstetrics.

Gloria was a volunteer for Boulder County Public Health Well Child Clinic in Louisville for many years. She was a room mother, 4-H leader, a member of the Society of Italian Americans, and active in her Nurses Alumni Group.

Gloria was an avid golfer, serving as Ladies Group Chairperson for a number of years, and has been a bowler for many years. Her bowling league was recently named in her honor - Gloria's Loose League. She also loved to cook, read, and work crossword puzzles.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her loving husband, Russell Green, and her eldest daughter, Roberta Green.

She is survived by her three remaining children, Rick Green, Lori Feine (Dale), and Scott Green, by her two grandchildren, Wendy Foley (Jonathan) and Adam Green (Emily) and two great grandchildren, Bennett and Logan Green.

She will be missed by all who knew her.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 beginning at 10:30am at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 900 W Midway Blvd, Broomfield, CO 80020, with a reception to immediately follow the service. A private family graveside service is planned.
