Tre King had 21 points and nine rebounds, and No. 23 Iowa State knocked off No. 7 Kansas 79-75 on Saturday in Ames, Iowa.

Iowa State (16-4, 5-2) improved to 13-0 at home this season while enhancing its status as a Big 12 contender.

Keshon Gilbert scored 16 points for the Cyclones, and reserve Curtis Jones had 15 points.

All three contributed to a season-best performance from the 3-point line for the Cyclones, who went 14 for 30 from beyond the arc.

“Playing in that atmosphere, you think every shot you’re taking is going in,” Iowa State guard Tamin Lipsey said. “Just how loud the fans are and the vibe in the whole arena is so good, you take all the shots with confidence.”

Lipsey finished with 10 points, including a 3-pointer and a layup that helped Iowa State seize control early in the second half. Jones’ 3-pointer increased the Cyclones’ advantage to 55-43 with 11:44 left.

Hunter Dickinson led Kansas (16-4, 4-3) with 20 points and 15 rebounds.

“When you have a team that usually makes four 3s a game hit 14, it definitely makes it more challenging,” Dickinson said. “It makes it harder to try and stage a comeback.”

TEXAS TECH 85, OKLAHOMA 84 >> Chance McMillian scored 27 points and No. 20 Texas Tech (16-3, 5-1 Big 12) rallied from a nine-point deficit in the second half to beat No. 11 Oklahoma (15-5, 3-4) in Norman, Okla.

mississippi state 64, auburn 58 >> Josh Hubbard scored 15 of his 17 points in the second half and Cameron Matthews had 14 points and 11 rebounds as Mississippi State (14-6, 3-4 SEC) knocked off No. 8 Auburn (16-4, 5-2) in Starkville, Miss.

Illinois 70, Indiana 62 >> Terrence Shannon Jr. made six free throws in the final two minutes to help No. 10 Illinois (15-5, 6-3 Big Ten) survive a scare from Indiana (12-8, 4-5) in Champaign, Ill.

Indiana tied the game at 62 with 1:29 left on a basket by Mackenzie Mgbako, but Illinois scored eight straight points to pull out the victory.

DUKE 72, CLEMSON 71 >> Tyrese Proctor hit two free throws with 1 second left to help No. 12 Duke (15-4, 6-2 ACC) hang on to beat Clemson (13-6, 3-5) , barely averting the program’s first home loss to the Tigers in nearly three decades.

MARQUETTE 75, SETON HALL 57 >> Oso Ighodaro scored 21 points, David Joplin added 20 and No. 14 Marquette (15-5, 6-3 Big East) beat Seton Hall (13-8, 6-4) in Milwaukee for its fourth consecutive win.

Marquette got just seven combined points from leading scorers Tyler Kolek and Kam Jones, but the Golden Eagles outscored Seton Hall 14-2 in bench production.

tcu 105, BAYLOR 102, 3OT >> Jameer Nelson Jr. scored a season-high 30 points, including the go-ahead shot with 10 seconds left in the third overtime, and TCU (15-5, 4-3) rallied over No. 15 Baylor (14-5, 3-3) in a Big 12 thriller in Waco, Texas.

Baylor freshman Ja’Kobe Walker hit a tying 3-pointer with 0.6 seconds left in the first overtime, but the Bears lost for the first time in four games at brand new Foster Pavilion. Baylor had a 10-point lead in the second half and a four-point edge in the third OT.

Iowa 88, Michigan 78 >> Payton Sandfort scored 26 points and Tony Perkins added 24, leading Iowa (12-8, 4-5 Big Ten) over Michigan (7-13, 2-7) in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Maryland 73, Nebraska 51 >> Julian Reese scored 15 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, Maryland (13-8, 5-5 Big Ten)got plenty of bench help in a dominant first half and the Terrapins cruised past Nebraska (15-6, 5-5) in College Park, Md.

Iowa 92, Nebraska 73 >> Caitlin Clark had 38 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to lead No. 5 Iowa (19-2, 8-1 Big Ten)over Nebraska (13-7, 5-4) in Iowa City.

Clark, the nation’s leading scorer at 31.7 points per game, had the 53rd double-double of her career. She was 12 of 22 from the field, including 8 of 15 on 3-pointers.

Notre Dame 82, UConn 67 >> Freshman sensation Hannah Hidalgo scored a season-high 34 points and No. 15 Notre Dame (15-4) beat No. 8 UConn in Storrs, Conn.

Hidalgo hit 14 of her 24 shots and had 10 rebounds.

Aaliyah Edwards had 23 points and 11 rebounds for UConn, which came into the game on a 13-game winning streak. Paige Bueckers (Hopkins) added 17 points.

ST. THOMAS 76, NORTH DAKOTA 66 >> Amber Scalia (Stillwater) scored a career-high 32 points and the Tommies (12-9, 4-3 Summit) ended a two-game losing streak with a win over the Fighting Hawks (7-13, 3-4) in Grand Forks, N.D.

Scalia made 9 of 18 field-attempts, including 5 of 9 3-pointers, and was 9 of 12 from the free-throw line. Jade Hill added 12 points and four assists.

Katie Borowicz led UND with 24 points.
