Long-legged fillies and colts, galloping and leaping soon after birth, are adorning the corrals in Pomona.

The W. K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center at Cal Poly Pomona has welcomed seven new Arabian foals, born on campus since early February.

Two more are expected in early April.

The center that is the legacy of cereal magnate W.K. Kellogg, is celebrating its 100th year of promoting and breeding Arabian horses, while offering learning opportunities for students.

Cal Poly Pomona-bred horses have won national titles and Top 10 awards at the U.S. Arabian and Half Arabian National Championships, the most prestigious Arabian horse show in North America, a university news release states.

Arabian horses are one of the oldest breeds and noted for their grace, beauty, intelligence and endurance.
