Avanti Food & Beverage opened in Lower Highland in July 2015, one of the first of what would become more than 20 upscale food halls in metro Denver. Since then, Avanti has also opened in Boulder and, most recently, Vail.

Now, in advance of its 10th anniversary, Avanti, 3200 Pecos St., has closed the first floor of the building for a large-scale remodel. But that also meant the closure of three of its food stands: Pho King Rapidos, serving Vietnamese food; sandwich maker 22 Provisions; and Gorlami Pizza.

Three new, and so far unnamed, concepts are expected to take over those spaces with a grand reopening in March, Avanti announced earlier this month.

In addition, Avanti will add a coffee shop serving breakfast burritos and pastries, something that “will allow us to welcome guests from morning to night, making Avanti a true all-day destination,” its director of operations Travis Christ said in a statement.

The remodel also includes new seating, flooring and a sound system.

Amá Modern Mexican, Knockabout Burgers and a bar remain open on the second floor Tuesday through Saturday. Quiero Arepas, its mainstay, will reopen on the first floor in March following construction.

Pho King Rapidos, which also operated a popular food truck at one point, said on Instagram that it plans to reopen the business, or another concept somewhere else in Denver this year.
