MENTOR Minnesota recruits caring adults to help introduce a child to new ideas and opportunities through mentoring. Here’s one of the kids who could use a mentor’s help.

First name: Angie

Age: 15

Location: Eagan

Interests: Angie loves to draw. She is an excellent artist. She also likes to play soccer, wants to be in the ski club at school, and enjoys baking and cooking at home and with her grandma. She doesn’t enjoy math at school, but she does like Spanish class and science. She has tons of friends she likes socializing with at school and on the weekends. Her family is really close in proximity and enjoys going to both of her grandmas’ houses.

Personality/Characteristics: Angie is a good helper at home. She is very polite as her mom has taught her to have manners and say “please” and “thank you.” Angie is funny and likes to be social. She does have ADD, so can easily get distracted sometimes.

Goals/dreams: If Angie could have three wishes, she would wish for more wishes, live in a tiny house (like the show on HGTV), and be a really good artist. Mom really hopes that Angie can gain exposure to new things that help build her talents and interests.
