It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Derek Lindsey Bellefeuille, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who passed away on December 3, 2024, at St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino, California, at the age of 67. Born December 19, 1956, in Riverside, CA, Derek will be remembered for his fearless sense of humor, his loving nature, and the way he made every gathering memorable.

Derek was the proud father of Derek Jr., Jennifer, Lindsey, and Kevin, and the grandfather of Ruby and Milo. He is also survived by his siblings Sandy, Allison, and Stephanie. Family was always important to Derek, and he was there when it mattered most, offering his support with no shortage of effort or laughs.

Derek worked for many years at Apollo Trucking and Stater Bros. Markets, and served as Commander of the Sons of the American Legion Post 421, where his patriotism and commitment to community were unmatched.

He was aproud American, and his service to others was a true reflection of his values.

Whether he was belting out Zac Brown Band songs, reeling in afish, or cheering on the Raiders, Derek’s enthusiasm for life was contagious. He was the life of any party and loved making people smile.

A celebration of Derek’s life will be held on December 19, 2024, at American Legion Post 421, 28309 East Highland Avenue, Highland, CA, at 3:00 PM, on what would have been his 68th birthday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Legion Post 42 in memory of Derek Bellefeuille. Please join us as we honor Derek and celebrate the joy he brought into all our lives.

Derek’s love for his family, his sense of humor, and his unwavering support for his friends will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
