


Redlands’ LifeHouse Theater will present Meredith Willson’s “The Music Man,” opening 7 p.m. Saturday and running weekends through Aug. 17.
Many of LifeHouse Theater’s productions over the past three decades have been original musicals or adaptations, but the theater has also staged some Broadway musicals, including “My Fair Lady,” “The Sound of Music” and “Fiddler on the Roof.” This production marks the first time “The Music Man” has come to the LifeHouse stage, according to a news release.
The cast features Michael Milligan as Harold Hill and Sage Manson as Marian Paroo, with the barbershop quartet played by Nick Diliberto, Ed Derry, Micah Derry and Jaden Melashenko.
Others in the cast are Nathan Smith as Marcellus Washburn, Mark Isaak as Mayor Shinn, Diana Handy as Eulalie Shinn, Meigan Karraker as Mrs. Paroo, Zeke Bernier as Winthrop Paroo, Alyssa Paulson as Zaneeta Shinn, Eiley Phillips as Gracie Shinn, Josiah Evans as Tommy Djilas, Goldie Combs as Amaryllis, Tiffanie Levin as Alma Hix, Heidi Alloway as Maud Dunlop, Jana Smith as Ethel Toffelmier, Morgan Livesay as Mrs. Squires and Andrew Strachen as Charlie Cowell.
Jennifer M. DeWitt directs the production, and Michael Milligan is choreographer in addition to playing Harold Hill. Music direction is by Sage Manson and Sarah Pearce. Beth Derry is costume designer, Jacob Michel is scenic designer, and sound and lighting design are by Josiah Evans.
After opening night, performances are 7 p.m. Fridays, 2 and 7 p.m. Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. There is one Thursday performance, at 7 p.m. Aug. 14.
