Homeless Outreach Street Team Weekly Report

HOST made 34 contacts and offered services to 16 individuals; eight accepted services. HOST tagged six camps and cleaned up three. HOST conducted 13 downtown patrols. Downtown patrol efforts have been increased due to issues reported by business owners.

Host officers have interacted with a homeless individual for several years now. The person was resistant to resources and would not go to the shelter. Over the past couple of weeks, they were able to convince this person to get off the street and try the resources at Fourth and Hope. For the first time in years, this person is living indoors, bathed, with clean clothes and steady meals. The HOST officers are very happy to have helped this person better their situation.
