Tina Mueh is the best candidate for HD 10
We support Tina Mueh in her bid to represent State House District 10. Tina brings integrity, knowledge and commitment to everything that she does from advocating for education and workers’ rights to championing reproductive justice with Planned Parenthood. Working alongside her in school, we witnessed the ways she brought expertise and passion into her classroom. What grabbed our attention and admiration most was how she stood up for educators, for us. From her years as BVEA President, she could always clearly articulate and assure us of what was fair and equitable, where we could stand for our rights, and where to ask for change. Tina emanates a sense of trustworthiness. Her knowledge, integrity, and commitment to work for “her people” is something worth voting for! We need a champion like Tina Mueh as our HD10 representative.

Amabile will benefit Boulder, the entire state
It was in the midst of waiting to testify on a state bill in the spring of 2019 that I first encountered Judy Amabile. Like me, Judy was there to testify in support of Extreme Risk Protection Orders (aka “Red Flag Laws”). Judy’s singularly poignant and personal testimony was the kind that shook you awake and brought tears to your eyes.
I didn’t know Judy then; I was simply impressed with this woman testifying powerfully and from the heart. But now I am honored to call her a friend.
We crossed paths regularly on our respective campaign trails in 2019. I was struck by her directness in asking hard questions. That included hard questions of me, as a candidate. That’s Judy — she asks the exacting questions, and she is unafraid to have them fired back at her. She knows in the end that if we don’t cut to the heart of matters, we will just be nibbling at the edges of the huge societal issues we face.
Even though her perch was state-level, Judy was a regular in observing Boulder City Council meetings. Judy would read our City Council packets so closely that she understood the nuanced municipal issues as well as anyone on Council! She’s one of those detailed people who has the ability, stamina and drive to go the extra mile, on so many fronts.
Judy also continually provided an invaluable perspective with how our city work tied in to county, state, and federal work in progress.
Judy’s care for our community, and especially the most vulnerable members, is sweeping and inspiring. Her work on mental and behavioral health in particular is unsurpassed.
Boulder is losing an outstanding state-level representative in Senate President Steve Fenberg. I thank Senator Fenberg for his service, and I encourage SD-18 voters to elect House Representative Judy Amabile to this seat. She will hit the ground running in a way that will benefit Boulder and the entire state.
