Antioch and Pleasant Hill

Lee was born in Duluth, Minnesota to parents Fred L. Ober and Frances Berg Ober. She had two sisters: Frances Daviess and Melicent Arner. Her parents moved the family to California in 1929. Lee worked in the aircraft industry during WWII as a Rosie the Riveter and then went to nursing school in San Diego. She earned her RN degree in 1945, and worked in operating rooms, with skill and great satisfaction, until 2006. Lee loved animals.

She trained and showed German Shepherds and Keeshounds. Lee was preceeded in death by her husband Fred Silvey and son Charles Fox. She is survived by 3 grandchildren: Michelle Blackwell, Donna Fox, and Harold Fox; as well as 3 stepchildren, 6 nephews and nieces, and 5 great grandchildren.
