Glendaline Grace Kawakami, affectionately known by Glenda, passed away on November 1, 2024, at the age of 86 in Woodland, California. Born on August 14, 1938, Glenda lived a life marked by creativity and devotion to her family.
Glenda had a passion for crafting, photography, baking, and cooking, which she often showcased at family parties, leaving behind memories filled with love. Her hobbies were not just pastimes, but ways she connected with and cared for her family and friends. Glenda's life and legacy will be remembered fondly by those who knew her, as a woman who brought joy and beauty into the world through her creative spirit and giving heart.
Glenda was the wife of the late Ernie Kawakami and a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter Dawne Smith (Stanley), her son Scott Smith (Michelle), three grandchildren, Jillian Seal, Ashley Montgomery and Lindsey Kennedy (Jerry), and two great-grandchildren, Mason and Porter. She was preceded in death by her parents (Glenn and Lila Hagbery), husband (Ernie Kawakami), and daughter (Cheryl Seal).
There will be no formal services, only a private graveside service for immediate family, per Glenda’s wishes.
