White House staffers have just laughed at the idea that Trump’s tacky Fourth of July celebration is pure politics. But now we learn that the Republican National Committee is issuing special tickets to high rollers who have contributed to Trump’s 2020 campaign. Sounds like pure politics to me.

Ever since some lawmakers made a visit and reported on the deplorable conditions to the migrants being detained at U.S. facilities, the Republicans have started a mean-spirited attack on the lawmakers and the migrants. Rush Limbaugh went so far as to say “drinking water from a toilet could be a step up for some of the migrants.” He also called the representatives “liars, addicted to getting attention, and a gaggle of hysterical women.”
If a corporate CEO said things like Trump is saying on national TV, the board would demand a full neuropsych work up ASAP.
Can you imagine your dentist, doctor, or surgeon having their child tagging along while they performed a procedure? Or your banker, accountant or financial planner discussing your finances while their adult son or daughter listened in? We have privacy laws to keep your personal things private, yet in our federal government — we are running a daycare for our president’s children.
The Trump campaign is having a meltdown since their once reliable NRA is in a downward spiral. Also the Chamber of Commerce and the Koch political network have withdrawn from their once dominant roles in electing conservatives. Things don’t look so positive for reelecting Trump.
Anytime that you read a story of these people getting shot or killed over really ridiculous things, you have to ask yourself, how did these really stupid people get a firearm, or even know how to use it?
Uninvited guests are often most welcome when they leave.
We used to take for granted that judges were intelligent, fair, unbiased, sane and would consider their cases seriously before ruling. We are now seeing that, that is not the case any longer.
