Vintage Boulder beats

Founded in Boulder in 1996, Cabaret Diosa flipped the music scene on its head with its blend of classic Latin dance beats and entertaining theatrics. The mambo orchestra hasn’t been seen on stage since they abandoned their end-of-days dance party nearly two decades ago, but return to Boulder for a one-night-only gig, dubbed “Into the Mamboverse,” along with openers The Maydays, at 8 p.m. Friday at the Boulder Theater, 2032 14th St., Boulder; $52-$55; axs.com.
