Repeat Thefts Arrest: On Jan. 31 at around 7:25 p.m., officers responded to a business on the 1800 block of East Gibson Road where two people inside had been identified as previous shoplifters from the store. When officers arrived, they detained 32-year-old Alexis Hopson, of West Sacramento and 43-year-old Donald Delaney, of Sacramento. A records check confirmed both had warrants for their arrest. Additionally, Delaney was identified from a recent theft of over $2,000 in merchandise from the store. A check of Delaney’s criminal history showed he had multiple theft convictions. Hopson was arrested and booked at the Yolo County Jail for warrants. Delaney was arrested and booked at the Yolo County Jail for theft with prior convictions, grand theft, and warrants.

Repeat Thefts Arrest: On Feb. 1 at around 10:19 a.m., officers responded to a business on the 2100 block of Bronze Star Drive, where a female put on various clothing items and left without paying for them. 55-year-old Dawna Haworth of Woodland was contacted outside of the business. A check of Haworth’s criminal history showed she had multiple theft convictions. Haworth was arrested and booked at the Yolo County Jail for theft with prior convictions and shoplifting.

Homeless Outreach Street Team Weekly Report

HOST made 78 contacts and offered services to 35 individuals, 11 accepted services. HOST tagged 12 camps and cleaned up 12. HOST conducted 11 downtown patrols.

HOST was working with property owners on the 1800 block of East Main Street regarding ongoing issues with unhoused, and those living out of vehicles. HOST has provided education on proper signage to the property owners and made multiple contacts with unhoused at the location. The goal was to alleviate the issues of long-term stays and provide resources to those in need.

Collaboratively, the HOST team and the property owners effectively cleared up the area and plan to continue follow-up to prevent further issues.
