Resident of Scotts Valley

Alvin Orin Wilson, 85, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2024 in Scotts Valley. He was born in Santa Ana, California to George Washington Wilson and Marie Shryer Miller. Alvin was raised in the Palm Springs Desert area and graduated from Coachella High in 1957. After graduating high school, Alvin attended college to study law enforcement.

Throughout his life, Alvin served in the US Army, National Guard, and the California Highway Patrol. He enjoyed working on computers, organizing family archives, movies, and nostalgic music. Alvin was a member of Holy Cross Church, a member of the Choctaw Nation, the CAHP Association, and the Italian Catholic Federation.

Alvin is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Norma Grace Wilson. He is also survived by his sons Dan Wilson (Atsuko Wilson), Christopher Wilson, Dino Spalding (Jacquie Spalding), and Michael Spalding; daughter Debra Johnston; brothers Jerry Moffitt, John Wilson, and Joe Wilson (Sally Wilson); sister Sharon Risley; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Alvin is preceded in death by his son Scott Wilson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 21st at 11am at Benito &Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel. A reception will folllow.
