December 4, 1946 - July 3, 2025 La Verne, CA Marshall Davis, 78, of La Verne, California, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025. Born on December 4, 1946, in Great Bend, Kansas, Marshall lived a life marked by strength, mentorship, and deep love for his family and community. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Konnie Davis, with whom he shared many years of love and partnership. He is survived by his four children and their families: Jennifer and her husband Michael, Aaron and his wife Elena, Karan and her husband Mike, and Jeff and his fiancée, Sabrina. Marshall is also survived by his brother Scott, as well as ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, wonderful friend Betsy, and his beloved companion, Marty.

Marshall dedicated most of his professional life to working at the Metropolitan Water District, where he initially served as a chemist and made his way through the ranks to become the manager of Water Quality. Even after his retirement, he remained very close to his Metropolitan family and always reflected fondly upon his time with “The District.” Further, he enjoyed being of service to the community by volunteering for Meals on Wheels and being a member of the Claremont United Church of Christ.

Besides being a loving husband and father, Marshall was an avid traveler, fisherman, and gardener, and loved spending time in San Diego and nearby beach communities.

He found inspiration in museums and art exhibits and collected several paintings that embraced his fascination for western and mid-west motifs. His humor, radiant personality, mentorship, and guidance will be missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 20th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Hillcrest Retirement Community Meeting House.
