The Buffaloes announced their nonconference schedule Tuesday, with CU set to begin the 10th season under head coach Jesse Mahoney on Aug. 29 against Cleveland State in Wyoming.
That contest will be part of the “Rumble In The Rockies” hosted by Wyoming.
The Buffs complete the tournament by playing Tulsa on Aug. 30 and the host Cowgirls on Aug. 31.
The Buffs then travel to UC Irvine for three games at the UCI/adidas Invitational, facing Fresno State on Sept. 4 before tackling Penn and UC Irvine during a Sept. 5 doubleheader.
CU returns home to host three games in three days at the Colorado Invitational, squaring off against Arkansas in the home opener Sept. 12 before facing Toledo (Sept. 13) and Denver (Sept. 14). The Buffs complete nonconference play with three matches against regional rivals, playing a home-and-home set against Colorado State that begins in Fort Collins on Sept. 18 and concludes the following night at the CU Events Center.
The Buffs play one additional nonconference match one month after Big 12 Conference play begins, visiting Northern Colorado on Oct. 28.
The Big 12 announced the league schedule last month, with the Buffs beginning their second season back in the conference with a two-game trip through Utah, playing at BYU on Sept. 25 and at Utah on Sept. 27.
CU also will host its annual Black & Gold intrasquad scrimmage on Aug. 23.
