Grand theft arrest: On Dec. 14 at around 4:47 p.m., officers responded to the location near the 1700 block of E. Beamer Street regarding a person inside a fenced area of a closed business. Officers observed a male using a ladder to climb out of the yard. Officers directed the person to stop; however, they attempted to flee on a bicycle. Officers quickly apprehended the suspect who initially provided a false name. The suspect was later identified as Simona Palauni, a 46-year-old male Woodland resident. Palauni had stolen $3,000 worth of copper wire from the business. Palauni was arrested and booked for grand theft, false identification to a peace officer, delaying an officer, and two warrants.
Stolen vehicle arrest: On Dec. 14 at around 11:13 p.m., an officer had recently seen a FLOCK safety alert for a stolen vehicle near the intersection of Third Street and Lincoln Avenue. While out on patrol, the officer spotted the vehicle and performed a traffic stop. The driver, a 36-year-old Sacramento resident, Jesus Andres, was arrested. Andres was on probation for prior driving under the influence convictions. Andres displayed signs and symptoms consistent with being under the influence. He was booked into the Yolo County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, driving under the influence, and driving with a suspended license.
Vandalism arrest: On Dec. 18 at around 6:20 p.m., officers responded to the report of a burglary in progress at a residence on the 900 block of Oliver Court. Citizens were reported to be chasing the suspect. As officers arrived, they located the suspect and ordered them to stop. The suspect was identified as 36-year-old Woodland resident Oscar Hernandez. The investigation showed Hernandez had thrown items at a fence, causing damage. He was arrested and booked into the Yolo County Jail.

HOST made 30 contacts and offered services to 15 individuals; seven accepted services.
HOST tagged 10 camps and cleaned up eight. HOST conducted five downtown patrols. HOST helped connect an individual with resources who has struggled with addiction to controlled substances for years. This person agreed to attend live-in care which will hopefully put their life back on track. HOST had worked with this individual for many years trying to help them create a better quality of life.
