Sally Katherine Shearer, 80, of Riverside, CA, passed away on November 21, 2024. She was born on June 20, 1944, in Johnstown, PA, to William and Lillian Callihan.<br><br>Sally is survived by her husband, Don Shearer, her daughters, Amanda (Adam), Allison (Dave), and Sydne (Doug), as well as her sister, Sharon. Her sister, Wilda, preceded her in death. She was also a proud grandmother to three grandchildren: Luke, Maeve, and Kaylee.<br><br>Sally graduated from Altoona Hospital with a degree in nursing and devoted nearly 50 years to helping others as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Educator. She served the American Heart Association for many years and was an active member of the Riverside Assistance League and Canyon Crest Country Club, where she regularly played golf and mah-jongg with her many friends. Sally particularly enjoyed traveling, with trips to Eastern Europe, Asia, the South Pacific, and most recently, Iceland and the United Kingdom.<br><br>Her love for life was contagious, her strength undeniable, and her kindness unmatched. She made better the lives of so many; her spirit and legacy will long remain in our hearts.<br><br>A private Celebration of Life will be held in Sally's honor on February 28 in Riverside, CA.<br><br>In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.<div></div>
