Resident of Larkspur
Andy was a native of San Francisco, born June 9, 1930. He Attended both Lincoln and Galileo High Schools. He Served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956. Andy's family owned the Bellaire Market in San Francisco on Union and Leavenworth Street for 50 years.
Andy's father immigrated from Greece in 1906 and his mother followed in 1927. Andy was extremely proud of his Greek heritage. In 2002 he made his first trip to Greece, where he was able to locate his father's childhood home that is still standing after hundreds of years.
He also located his father's family.
After retiring from the Bellaire Market in 1987 he started another career working with the Woodlands Market family in Kentfield, California for 20 years. Andy was a resident of Larkspur from 1964 until his death. Andy enjoyed classic cars, water skiing, trips to Maui with his late wife Minette, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife Minette, parents Angelos and Angeliki Guralas, and sister Helen Guralas.
Andy is survived by his sons Andy Guralas Jr., Tony Guralas, grandchildren Ashley, Jett, Olivia, Andreas, Anthony, great-grandchildren Gabriel, Jesse and Thalia, niece Angelina Stephenson, cousins Katheryn Barkas, Eleni Winget and John Winget.
